Fair Observer 2011 Video Competition Motivation At Fair Observer, we believe that the current news media model is broken. What the viewers see is only one side of the story, often with a clear bias or opinionated approach. A news media platform from the US talks mostly about the impact of an event on the US while one from Germany is too focused on Germany. The masses are being confused more than ever with news thrown at them from all angles without context. This is exactly what we want to address in our 2011 Video Competition. Fair Observer calls for all creative people regardless of their education, nationality, occupation, gender or age to participate in our 2011 Video Competition. Submit your video and show us your perception of the current news media model. An ideal video would showcase the gaps in the current new media model (bias, lacking context and event driven) and also showcase what an ideal news media platform would look like. Tell your own story of how you find the existing news media model faulty and how fair media coverage would make a difference. Surprise us with your creativity and make your viewers engage with the topic.
