SkillRoad is currently helping with the recruiting for the following case:

Providing innovative solutions for already more than 120 years, this hidden champion from southern Germany is a leading manufacturer of machinery for working wire and tube as well as a big player in the cold forming industry. Internationally active with branches in four continents, it employs around 1100 people on the globe with a turnover of around 180 Mio. € per year. For its location in Shanghai with around 15 people, the family-owned company is currently looking for a new General Manager (f/d/m) talented at sales and fostering customer relations.

Maintasks:

• ·       Profit and loss responsibility for company in China
• ·       Strategic and operative business
• ·       Strong focus on sales development: planning and implementing of new sales strategy
• ·       Building and maintaining new Chinese customer relationships
• ·       Finding creative and individual sales solutions
• ·       Explaining complicated technical details of machines to customers and potential buyers
• ·       Keep in step with industry and general development trends on the Chinese market
• ·       Representation of company towards business partners and institutions in China
  

Profile of requirements:

• ·       Mechanical Engineering and/or Business Administration or similar relevant degree
• ·       Working experience and knowledge in the field of machine tools, preferably of serial nature
• ·       Strong background in sales and direct customer contact
• ·       Good at establishing and maintaining customer relations
• ·       Ability to understand and explain technical details of machines
• ·       Leadership experience in a China located company, ideally internationally operating medium-sized
• ·       Profound practical experience of Chinese and German culture, cultural sensitivity
• ·       Adept in industrial B2B business
• ·       Familiar with implementing change processes
• ·       Distinct general business acumen to strengthen companies´ growth
• ·       Well informed about Chinese government regulations relevant to the business
• ·       Experienced at networking, strong interpersonal skills
• ·       Fluent English and Chinese skills; additional German language knowledge great advantage
• ·       Long-term plan to stay in China
