There are also lockers for 1 euro at the Skischule at the Hausberg stop. Open until 18:00. Dunno how quick they fill up on weekends, they might actually be meant for people taking lessons... There are also ski lockers for 8 euros at the ski school, they're meant to leave your skis in overnight for folks spending more time there. ' f" s' x5 J1 b9 R6 X6 k

The ski rental place at the base of the Kreuzeckbahn will keep your stuff for the day, don't know how much it costs because the line was too long when I was looking a couple weeks ago., ^1 |- s6 p k8 W4 g) Z

R' S: h" cBTW it's totally easy to get to the rest of Garmisch Classic from the Hausberg stop, which is not too bad walking distance just from the Garmisch train station if you want to skip the Zugspitzbahn entirely (gets awfully crowded sometimes). There's also a free ski bus that goes to Hausberg from the Garmisch train station, and goes back there for the last time at 16:50 -- in time to catch the 15:02 train back to Munich. The Zugspitzbahn should get you to the station in time too, theoretically, but it was late when I took it two weeks ago." |
