another meaning is
to aim at someone or something. 指向

point at someone or something 指向
1. [for someone] to direct an extended finger at someone or something; to point one's finger at someone or something.
eg:You should not point at people. Harry pointed at the mess Jerry had made and scowled.
2. [for something] to aim at someone or something.
eg:The gun pointed directly at him. He was frightened. The sign pointed at a small roadside cafe, populated by truck drivers.

注 意 ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
1. 一般情况下point at和point to可互换,但事物名词作主语时,用point to要常见些。

2. point at可分开使用,point后直接跟名词或代词作宾语,at表示方向,而point
to却没有这种用法,但它还表示“显示、说明”的意思。

他们把枪指着她的头,但她并不害怕。
All the facts point to the same conclusion. 所有事实都说明同样的结论。
