IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is an independent agricultural consulting company. We are active in Germany as well as abroad for both private and public clients and donors (www.iakleip- zig.de). Amongst others IAK is implementing projects under the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) Bilateral-Cooperation-Programme, namely the “ German-Ukrain-ian Agricultural Policy Dialogue” and the “German-Kazakh Agricultural Policy Dialogue”. To- gether with the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) (www.iamo.de) we are tendering for the implementation of the BMEL-funded “German-SinoAgricultural Centre (DCZ)”. Currently the tender process for second phase of the DCZ is running for an implementation from August 2017 until August 2019 (with an option for extension until August 2020). The DCZ which has existed since 2015 has the goal of strengthening the bilateral cooperation between China and Germany in the agricultural sector. Cooperation is facilitated using three dialogue platforms: 1) the agricultural policy dialogue, 2) the agricultural science dialogue and 3) the agriculture and food business dialogue. A fourth component is the PR work and networking of the project. We are currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of local coordinator for the agriculture and food business dialogue.
Tasks: The local coordinator of the agriculture and food business dialogue will focus his or her work on the agriculture and food business dialogue component of the project. In particular, he or she will work towards a stronger engagement of Chinese companies in the professional dia- logue with German businesses and associations as well as facilitating networking between both sides. Furthermore, he or she will support the project team with the organisation and management of events.

The place of work is Beijing and the contract will run presumably from September 1st 2017 for the entire implementation period. The DCZ is a project which is going through a public tender- ing process, hence the position can only be offered should IAK-IAMO successfully win imple- mentation.
