Responsibilities A corporate head of internal control role, which requires knowledge, ability to drive the internal control development and day-to-day operations of the global internal control community of Midea overseas businesses. Main responsibilities include: - Initiate and develop programs to enhance the internal control environment, culture and practices; - Work with regional internal controllers around the world by providing guidance, work plans, tools and cooperation on major tasks; - Design policies, systems, tools and build infrastructures to enhance internal control on various subject matters; - Standardize and continuously improve policies and procedures to meet regulatory and Group requirements. Work with affiliates to ensure company policies and procedures are embedded in daily operations. - Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control operation in daily activities and identify weaknesses. Develop corrective action logs and recommendations for improvement. - Conduct trainings to communicate company policies and procedures to various teams to improve employees’ understanding. - Manage risk management system, including regular risk mapping, development of effective mitigations and monitoring the execution of mitigation actions by working together with function heads. - Reviews and appraises the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance with procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation. - Coordinates the corporate information security, anti-corruption and compliance tasks; - Create and animate a network of internal control representatives within all business units - Oversee investigation of cases by mobilizing internal or external resources and expertise, with effective engagement communication with senior management.
