Product Engineer (m/f/d)

Setup:

• Full-time job in home Office.
• Employed  officially by WEGU GmbH but reporting to ZhongDing Rubber-Plastic Co. Ltd (China) through the existing European sales and engineering manager (Paul Romanos located in Düsseldorf, Germany).
  
  

Salary level & other advantages:

• Depending relevant experience and profile (upper limit at ca. 80 000 euros gross brutto salary)

Responsibilities:

• Bridging link between designated European customers and Zhongding Rubber Plastic Co. Ltd. China (headquarter and production location) & vice versa for technical related subjects.
• First point of contact for European customers for technical aspects from early RFQ stage until serial production
• Lead the organisation and preparation for design reviews and other project meetings incl. customer visits & onsite support
• Develop automotive plastics & rubber parts according to customer requirements including analysis of specifications and technical documents
• Support for quality & logistic related topics for designated customers
• Participate in regular reviews and reports for projects status as well as long-term strategy and goals with direct supervisor and ZhongDing China management
  
  

Profile / Requirements:

• Degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or equivalent technical/vocational training
• Experience in automotive functional parts, including standard processes such as APQP, FMEA, etc…
• Experience in plastics and rubbers, especially injection moulding process is highly desired
• Fluent English language skills. Additionally German and/or Chinese language required
• Possess analytical thinking, teamwork spirit, self-initiative and ability to work independently
• Optional: experience in CAD and/or CAE (structural FEM and/or Moldflow) highly desired
