When we were falling apart, You marched in your troops and wanted your fair share. 5 \) I2 Z/ Y7 e' a& N k W* {$ O5 W1 Q# o) g+ Y6 K0 T When we tried to put the broken pieces back together again, Free Tibet you " ?9 w' w+ e6 ]$ X6 |screamed, It Was an Invasion! - ]0 e- l$ h$ _1 H2 Z When tried Communism, you hated us for being Communist. ( C* K4 e4 U+ E0 g' d3 A3 o When we embrace Capitalism, you hate us for being Capitalist. ! E: |8 f! I5 T# n" o2 q A When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet. When we tried limiting our numbers, you said we abused human rights. When we were poor, you thought we were dogs. 6 ]) i1 O/ w9 n When we loan you cash, you blame us for your national debts. " N9 ^! H' h; H' z When we build our industries, you call us Polluters. % d5 c% r+ `' N: T$ o 3 w2 R8 @3 [. J7 o1 T When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming. / t8 m; V! B# F/ { When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide. & _; D- { B/ N( R ' J' n9 V& S$ p8 I When you go to war for oil, you call it liberation. @! H5 x: M' ~6 \ When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you demanded rules of law. 3 k; _$ f! b3 S# P( K- o2 O When we uphold law and order against violence, you call it violating human 9 {1 \6 C$ g6 w( h1 p r: ^rights. When we were silent, you said you wanted us to have free speech. 3 T) z, f9 M5 I- O+ G" M3 {% v: G When we are silent no more, you say we are brainwashed-xenophobics. Why do you hate us so much, we asked. 4 l' D+ `; a2 j/ ?+ Z No, you answered, we don't hate you. " i5 } U7 J. N% L6 E* I + w!
