由三个Wirtschaftsinformatik的教授席位共同设立的新Master专业,International Information System今年冬季学习开始招生,总共50名学生。<br />该专业为全英文授课,总共4个学期,120个 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)学分。<br /><br />Overview of the Program<br /><br />The Master of Science in International Information Systems is a four semester program for young talents who aim for challenging management positions in globally operating high-tech firms. Excellent learning and working conditions will prepare about 50 students for an international career in business with a strong focus in managing Global Information Systems. The program is appropriate for students who have a strong interest in information technology and its role in today's business environment, irrespective of the academic field chosen during their undergraduate studies.<br /><br /><br />courses<br /><br />The first semester starts with an introduction to International Information Systems that can be customized to meet the requirements of each student. This helps the student gain competencies not covered in their previous study, which are a must for the successful completion of the rigorous curriculum awaiting them in the later part of the program. The second and third semester's courses integrate interdisciplinary perspectives across the fields of management and core informatics. The curriculum includes:<br /><br /> * Managing Enterprise-wide IT Architectures<br /> * Managing IT-enabled Business<br /> * Managing IT-enabled Organizations<br /> * Managing Global Projects & Information Technology<br /> * IT-enabled Innovation & Value Creation<br /> * IT-enabled Processes & Services<br /> * Foundations in Database Systems<br /> * Basics in Software Engineering<br /><br />The curriculum also covers courses in International Negotiation and Foreign Language skills. In addition there are two seminars at the end of the third semester. One confronts students with a real international business challenge in an interdisciplinary context.
