SheLoves Tech is aglobal initiative showcasing the convergence of the latest trends intechnology, entrepreneurship, innovation and the opportunities it creates forwomen.

Jointlyfounded by Lean In China and Tech Rock, this year, the She Loves Tech Initiative will kick off with a global startup competition held in multiple locationsacross the world, withthe finals held during an international conference in Beijing, China. Each round’sfinalist will participate in a boot camp co-organized by Chinaccelerator. SheLoves Tech’s goal isto provide a platform for international and Chinese tech companies, investors,entrepreneurs, startups and consumers together, to promote technology for women and women intechnology.

COMPETITION
The She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition is designed to give the world’smost promising women entrepreneurs and women-impact startups a unique opportunityto showcase their businesses to a global audience of investors and influencers fromthe tech community. Organized in cooperation with TechCode, She Loves Tech Germany 2017 is the Germanyround of the competition and will be held on August 3, 2017 in TechCodeBerlin.

At each round of competition, startups will bejudged by an all-star panel of tech investors and executives looking todiscover early-stage startups that are impactful, innovative, scalable, andhave strong founding teams. Additionally, Teja Ventures, a venture capital fund with agender lens, and other affiliate funds of the She Loves Tech global initiativewill also be actively looking to invest in women impact startups from thecompetition.

The top team fromShe Loves Tech Germany 2017 will receive:

ü Spot topitch on international stage at finals in Beijing, China (September 16, 2017)

ü  Week-long boot camp(September 11-15, 2017) in Beijing, China consisting of talks and panelsrelating to globalization, the Chinese market and the latest technology trends,visits to leading tech companies, networking opportunities, and personalizedpitch preparation workshops (accommodation covered)

ü  Pass to the She Loves Tech 2017 Conference inBeijing, China (September 16, 2017)

ü  Access to OverseasTalent Entrepreneurship Conference’s (OTEC) resources(including but not limited to visa, business establishment and investmentmatching support in Beijing, China)

ü  Opportunity to applyfor the Phoenix Plan grant of 100,000 RMB in Beijing’s Chaoyang District (for companiesinterested in setting up in Beijing, China)

How to enter the competition?

1. STAGE: Seeking Angel, Seed or A roundfunding (under US$3m funding raised)

2. FOCUS:

(a) At leastone female entrepreneur in founding team who is usingtechnology to solve a problem

OR

(b)Anyentrepreneur, male or female,who is using technology to impact women positively:

•       Are asignificant proportion of end-users or consumers female?

•       Areproducts specifically designed with women users in mind?

•       Does theproduct itself address a problem that disproportionately affects women?

3. TECHNOLOGY refers to:

The use of science and innovation to inventuseful things or to solve problems. This extends beyond digital, informationor internet-based technology and covers everything from hardware to thecreation of new product and solutions to existing problems.

We are open to accepting startups from all industries, with aparticular focus on startups in these verticals:
