http://www.verwaltung.uni-freiburg.de/international-office/intstud/index.html

hi!

I just checked the page of what you mean:

http://master.econ.uni-freiburg.de/

have a CAREFUL look on it. I think the information is more than enough:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuition, Fees, and Student Budgets

This year the tuition fees have been waived for all admitted students. There is an enrollment fee of approximately EUR 60 per semester (i.e. EUR 120 per year).
The following list provides an indication of monthly living expense components.

* Tuition: waived (this year)
* Enrollment fee (per semester): EUR 60
* Books etc. (per semester): EUR 100 (approx.)
* Housing: Student housing: EUR 180-270, off campus (private): EUR 200-300
* Medical insurance: EUR 100
* Transport: Regional transportation at special student fare: EUR 60 per semester
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Admission prerequisites

Enrollment is restricted. In order to create a dynamic community of able and successful students we require students to document the following abilities and to submit the respective documents:

* A qualified degree (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) from a recognized university from a program of at least 6 semesters with an appropriate major
* Sound knowledge of micro- and macroeconom-ics at an intermediate level. This may be estab-lished through an admission test upon arrival
* Sound knowledge of English, documented by the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score
* Two letters of reference, one of which should be by your former or present academic supervisor
* Completed application documents
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What i understand is that you have to provide TOEFL score, instead of ELS.
There is no requirement for German language. However, if there is a chance, learn it.
I can not figur out what is that 260 Euro you mean. perhaps the sum of all such fees.

You mentioned 20,000 RMB is the financial aid which is required from Embassy of Germany, not tuition fee. It is required for ALL FOREIGN students what will study in DE. It is the gurantee that you have enough money to live without work somewhere else during your study.

Hope that helps a bit

More questions

First, thanks both of the above for you help. What I want to say is just that program. Indeed, it seems that i need a toefl score, but if i take part in the programe between the Freiburg University and Bureau of Statistics, i just need to take part in an English exam hold by the Beijing Language and Culture University. On 9th March, i should go to Beijing to learn English and Germen, which is also hold by the Bureau of Statistics, it is about 6 months, including 800 lessons for germen, and if everything goes well, i would be in Germeny in september.
Thank both of you again.
Best wishes

I am also interested in this program which I found out from DAAD website. What Sunqimeng said really confuses me.
1)Is it possible for outsider to join this program?
2)I intended to apply this program for 2004. Will the program last until next year?
3)On the DAAD website, it metion that minor administrative fee will be charged later? How much will be per month/per semester?

of course you can apply by yourself.
Whether the program will last to 2004, that depends how many applicants they get, but normally they get more and more each year.
the adm. fee is called registration fees here and is not much: i am not aware of the exact amount, but each semester you pay 100 Euro or so. However, the government is planning to increase the fee for a long time. It is highly possible that it will be a bit more each year.
trust yourself and go ahead.

thanks a lot.
I am afraid I have to contact the school to get more information.
It seems this program not reliable, being implement.
