现象与本体

There was once a man who dreamt he was a butterfly
曾有一个人梦到身为蝴蝶
He roamed the world,fluttered his wings,and there flew high,
他展翅高飞,游历世间
He swoke from slumber,and began to question why,
从睡梦中觉醒后,他开始怀疑
He was no longer sure if he was a man or a butterfly
不确定他究竟是人还是蝶
How can I be sure I M not just dreaming?
我如何确定我不是正在作梦?
How can I be sure in a world thats ever changing?
我如何确定自已置身变幻莫测的世界中? （庄周梦蝶）
Like bubbles and lightning,the world is an illusion
就像泡沫和闪电一样,世界只是假象 （一切有为法，如梦幻泡影，如露亦如电，应作如是观——金刚经）
Each fleeting moment is magic,deceiving our homan vision
每个稍纵即逝的片刻都不过是幻象,欺骗人们的感观
Everythings phenomena,things are not what they seem
事情并非如人们所见,每一件事都是现象
The young grow old,this earthly life is like a dream,
从年轻到老,世俗的生活就像一场梦
Yet amidst these illusions,Noumena,the truth supreme
但幻觉之中藏著本体,至上的真理 （真妄不二，皆由自性本体生——真法性本净，妄念何由起？从真有妄生，此妄何所止？
                                            无初则无末，有终应有始；无始而无终，长怀懵玆理；愿为开玄妙，析之出生死。——真妄颂）
The enlightened mind can comprdhend the unseen
开悟的心能洞徹眼所未能见的真理 （佛乃梵语音译，意为“觉”）
So why attach oneself to the material,
所以,为何要依著与物质呢?
When this is not to stay forever ,& not real?
既然物质无法永存又不真实 （有兴趣的可以了解一些量子物理的知识，尤其是夸克的即生即灭，其实物质实质上并不是真实的，只是人无法察觉微观 及 瞬间的变化，
                                    所以误以为是真实的；一切都是缘起性空——缘来则生，缘去则灭，正因为本体的空性，才会有这个变化莫测、生生不息的世界）
Why give importance to the body that grows old and dies,
为何要重视会老死的躯体呢?  
When we can heed to the wisoom of buddhas advice
当我们可以随从佛陀智慧的教导时
So why attach oneself to the material,
所以,为何要依著与物质呢? （一切存在的最后都要消逝，必定经过 成 住 坏 空）
When this is not to stay forever ,& not real?
既然物质无法永存又不真实 （前一秒已过去、现一秒说时即逝、下一秒还未到来，无一心一物真实可得）
