The Centre is now looking for a “Project Manager - Legal” for its office in Beijing.# ?% m/ \! _7 u& ~

The Project Manager will be reporting directly to the Legal Expert and will be involved in:& e! u5 [$ }% C- f" Q
- Establishment and maintenance of knowledge products on legal questions such as guides, reference papers, and databases on legal issues relevant to European SMEs;0 W3 P, M d- N
- Organisation of training courses, seminars, workshops; and 5 F. I' c6 p% P" _; M6 s6 C/ {) ^- Handling of daily inquiries from the European SMEs. & |9 B4 u7 d' B% S: _( v2 ~ ) _7 H* H0 B* ^1 m7 E% d! Y* nQualifications and skills:6 `4 a) M/ s- B1 a( c _
1. Excellent understanding of China’s legal environment for business, particularly from the perspective of challenges faced by foreign companies investing in China and exporting to China; / h4 O( T" }- @2. Ability to work independently and to analyse and report clearly on complex legal and regulatory issues; 8 H4 I9 x, F) L% d. }) R3. At least three years legal working experience in China, in particular with regard to Chinese company law, commercial law, labour law, customs law or taxation law;" B9 K1 G, U9 w) d" g- f1 X
4. Graduation from a Chinese University with academic degree in law; an advanced international law degree would be a plus # e1 @ d) U& w* r! [! o8 G5. Good communication skills, working languages will be primarily English and Chinese; 3 S1 h8 ?5 Q1 t3 e" i7 u4 r0 q6. Ability to work effectively in a international team; S0 y0 ]$ p! z1 Z7 ]: M3 ^- D7. Experience in providing legal advice to SMEs an asset; ( r9 [' w% ^ |$ \8.
