"After corresponding with six different schools, the school I have decided on is Flugschule Tegelberg ( http://www.abschweb.net/). These guys are down in Roßhaupten near Fussen, which is about 1.5 hours away by car from Munich. The course goes from the 7th June (public holiday) to the 10th of June, so you should require only one day off work. I've decided on them for a number of reasons:

* Most importantly for some - they will give the instruction in English.
* Not too far from Munich
* They hold all their courses in the same area, compared with some others who, for the longer courses, go to another mountain further away.
* The timing is good. Like I said, we only require one day off, and if the weather is good we will get the course done in the 4 days (in fact, in 3 days but I'll come back to that later)
* Their prices are good. Because we have over 3 people, we get a 5% discount (so the Grundkurs will be 306 euros). If we could get another

Further, for those wanting to go ahead and get the solo license, they offer the Grundkurs together with the Hohenflugkurs for 850 ( -%5 if we have 3 or more people wanting to do it). You don't have to decide in the beginning whether you want to do, you can just pay for the Grundkurs and then pay the difference later if you want to take the next one.
* They seem flexible. This is important especially if you want to continue training after the Grundkurs, so that you can complete the other courses without having to take much holiday.
* They have so far been super friendly, and given me great customer service including offering to send stuff through the mail to me. This makes me feel pretty comfortable in going with them.

Some others things that they mentioned to me. The Grundkurs can be completed in 3 days if the weather is good. They say 5 normally, to
have some buffer days in case the weather is not right.

I also queried about the Hohenflugkurs and equipment in case you want to do that afterwards. For the Grundkurs everything is included. For the Hohenflugkurs there is an equipment fee of 250 euros (everyone has this, some charge more). You get this back completely if you buy a new or used glider from them. She explained to me that during the Hohenflugkurs, we can try lots of different gliders to find one that suits us best. This is an advantage over a lot of others, who said that you must buy a glider before the course to save the equipment cost. "

有兴趣，不过6月应该不行，看看有没有提前的 course, 可以一起报名

3000 euro or more.

The prices for used equipment, certified and checked by the school, starts at about 1500EU.
Used equipment is about 3 years old at most.
New equipment prices start at about 3000EU... (here EU should be read as oi...)

我看了。在学习完以后，如果不在那里买装备，那个租设备的250欧，是不是就不退了呢？

不退. 那个费用是给高级班的. 要加入得赶紧和Hutchinson联系.

smelly cat, 你要提前去,就得自己组织了.

每天开车都有人被撞死,那就不开车了?喝水还有被噎死的呢.
