上映首日全台票房累積超過1,200萬新台幣，是DC繼《小丑》後在台最佳開片日成績。由導演陶德菲利普斯執導，瓦昆菲尼克斯、女神卡卡擔綱主演，分別飾演亞瑟佛萊克／小丑、哈莉奎茵，前作《小丑》全球票房超過10億美元， 2019年在威尼斯影展上曾獲得金獅獎，2020年更強勢入圍奧斯卡金像獎11項大獎，瓦昆菲尼克斯也藉此拿下最佳男主角獎。
亞瑟佛萊克因為他作為小丑所犯下的罪行，被送進阿卡漢精神病院等待審判。在亞瑟與他的雙重身份掙扎時，他不但邂逅了真愛，還發現了一直存在於內心深處的音樂。演員陣容還包含曾獲奧斯卡金像獎提名的《伊尼舍林的女妖》布蘭登葛里森、《逃出絕命鎮》凱薩琳凱娜，以及薩琪畢茲，她也將回歸飾演她在《小丑》中的角色。
片中創新的音樂表演非常大膽且具有挑戰性，瓦昆菲尼克斯說：「我們很早就開始討論音樂表演，我們希望這些表演看起來完全是即興演出，感覺比較隨興凌亂，所以我們必須現場演唱歌曲，這麼做也許不是對這些歌曲最優美的詮釋方式，但這種作法卻令人感到非常興奮。」而莉奎茵佐則是為亞瑟黑暗又毫無生氣的世界帶來一絲光明和希望，他們之間的關係以音樂來呈現。女神卡卡說：「他內心的音樂既凌亂又混亂，這些歌曲表現出愛情的複雜層面，也為亞瑟帶來了生命力。」
